The Next Collective
A few years after I coined Everlane’s “No New Plastic” slogan for their Renew commitment (no non-recycled plastic in any of their products by 2025), we had reached 90% of our goal and were looking for ways to make strides into that final 10%, ideally in a way that we could share for the betterment of the whole industry.
We knew there were plenty of smart people outside our walls that had dedicated plenty of their time to this very type of work, and sometimes (often) the best thing to do is to just support those who know it best. We developed a grant program and offered the experience and connections of our own team to those early-stage entrepreneurs who could best help us and others in the industry get all the way to No New Plastic.
